Eclectic Eccentricity: Geometrics v.2

Hi everyone!

A while ago, as I was browsing the Internet instead of doing Uni related work, I came across another jewellery website - Eclectic Eccentricity. For those of you who never heard of this label, EE are an online jewellery boutique specialising in vintage pieces. Here is some background information to put you in the picture:

With a penchant for the pretty, Eclectic Eccentricity's founder Lucy Crick started scouring antique shops and markets for quaint curios and exquisite gems; piecing them together with other trinkets and treasures found hidden away for years. This is the heart of EE: each and every piece weaves a tale, from it's individual components, a new story is made.... it's jewellery with stories to tell....

Following from the success of last year’s Geometric launch, Eclectic Eccentricity have recently released Geometrics v.2, a new collection of bold geometric shapes, fluid lines and sumptuous universe-inspired beads. Think mathematical forms meets tribal accents and vintage flourishes. Perfection! I asked Grace, the lovely person behind EE's press team, to send me some images of the new collection's lookbook to be able to share them with you. These are the pieces that mostly caught my eyes:

The Deianira necklace consists of a duo of brass triangles entwined with gold plated chain.
It is then finished with softly tumbled Pyrite beads.

Isis triangle pyramid necklace // Callisto multi drop charm necklace // Akira triple triangle necklace

Aria turquoise ring // Marilla lapis lazuli ring // Caelia vintage fire opal ring

The Penelope vintage charm bangle consists of a triplicate of vintage metal base bangles with a bronze, copper and silver patina, completed with golden brass diamonds and a 'mix and match' selection of Titanium Quartz, Turquoise or Pyrite bead.

How gorgeous are these pieces? I love them all, but my ultimate favourites are the Callisto multi drop charm necklace and the Marilla lapis lazuli ring. These items and all the others that are part of this collection can be bought hereWhat do you think of this collection? I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do!

ROMWE Easter Deal

Hi everyone!

Just a quick post to let you all know about Romwe's Easter Day Deal. All orders placed between yesterday and tomorrow (29th of March) will receive a free gift:

Orders over $40 (£26/€31) will get this galaxy print bowtie for FREE (RRP $9.90)
Orders over $70 (£46/€54will get this galaxy print collar for FREE (RRP $14.99)
Orders over $100 (£66/€78) will get this galaxy print bag for FREE (RRP $21.99)

How great is that? I have created a collage with my current favourite items from Romwe. Believe it or not, I still don't own a black leather jacket as I never found one that I really like. This leather jacket from Romwe is perfect though, and is quite reasonably priced too. Score! Another piece I am currently loving from Romwe is this Snow White tee. The character faces have been replaced with cat faces, so being the cat lover that I am, I instantly fell in love with it once I saw it. And how gorgeous is this black cat eye sunglasses? Since Spring is finally here, sunglasses use is a must for me - both because of the sun, and also because I can further accessorise my outfits by wearing sunglasses. The last item that I'm currently loving is this Eagle Boy crop top, clearly inspired by Boy London. Even though they have been all over the blogosphere, I still want my fair share of 'eagle' tees.

And how awesome are these leggings?

Don't forget that Romwe offer FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING with no minimum purchase required!
Happy Shopping :)

Designer vs Deal #5 • Shoes Edition

Hi everyone!

We are all aware of the fact that high street brands are all the more producing affordable dupes of otherwise quite expensive designer pieces that are not so friendly to everyone's budget - be it shoes, clothes, jewellery and even accessories. I decided to dedicate this post specifically to shoes, as you all know that shoes are very close to my heart. Yes, I am still a shoe addict.

While browsing the Internet, I stumbled upon a number of shoes that are, in one way or another, very similar to the designer piece. The aim of this post is not to tell you to avoid buying a designer piece and instead opt for it's affordable dupe, but merely to make you aware that designer dupes are nearly everywhere these days, and this is surely good news to those who cannot afford the oh-so-expensive designer items.

What do you think of these shoes? There are surely some pretty awesome dupes out there right? Are any of these designer shoes on your wishlist? I am currently lusting over the gorgeous Miista Zoe oxfords. Their hologram look makes them perfect for the Spring season. Will you be purchasing the designer's affordable dupe now that you know they exist? Or would you rather purchase the designer pieces anyway?

If there is a designer piece that you love so much but cannot afford it and want a dupe of it, get in touch with me through Facebook or Twitter, or else send me an email, and I'll include the affordable dupe in my next Designer vs Deal post!

Enjoy the First Ray of Sunshine in Spring 2013

// 1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 //

Hi everyone!

Today is the first official Spring day, finally! With warm weather hitting some countries and with Summer on the way, it's time to invest in some new sunglasses. From a conservative retro-chic look to a pair of totally wild and colourful sunglasses, everyone can find a perfect pair.

During this time of year, wraparound sunglasses are the best option in my opinion, mainly because of their wraparound design (as their name implies). This type of sunglasses provide the person with full eye protection by preventing UV rays from more than one angle, namely the front and the sides. Wraparound sunglasses also cling firmly to the face and can therefore shield wind and dust from reaching one's eyes. Furthermore, the shape of these sunglasses can make one's face look smaller, while protecting the skin around the eyes by covering larger parts of the face with their distinct shapes. These features undoubtedly make wraparound sunglasses an ideal choice when it comes to comfort and fashion.

But for the people who have vision problems like myself, a pair of normal sunglasses is not enough. This is the reason why prescription sunglasses were invented. Prescription sunglasses are specifically designed for people with myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) or presbyopia. Thankfully, we can nowadays find stylish prescription sunglasses that not only provide us with a clearer vision, but are also very on trend.

Sunglasses can be purchased from various shops, but if you are looking for high-quality ones at wholesale prices, then you should definitely check out Firmoo. For a detailed review on Firmoo, take a look at this post

Firmoo.com is the world's most popular online eyeglasses store. Years of expertise in optical industry enable Firmoo.com to offer varieties of prescription eyewear to the consuming public in high quality yet at extremely affordable prices. The low prices in Firmoo.com never compromise the quality of eyewear while treating the quality and services to consumers as top priority.

Now is the brightest time to buy sunglasses!

Guest Post • Getting The Spring Look For Less

Hi everyone! I'm Lorna from Raindrops of Sapphire and I am honoured to be able to write a guest post for the lovely Annalise of Pastel Bokeh! I've chosen two different Spring looks, which are both favourites of mine and I have styled looks almost identical to them with a much lower price tag, so you can get the spring look on a budget!

Mint jeans are always a really popular trend for Spring time as they combine that pastel hue that everyone loves, but at the same time the pale green shade is reminiscent of the new flowers. I kept the mint the focal point by pairing the jeans with a white shirt and beige wedges to keep it neutral, with a similar clutch and some bangles. Everything besides the jeans in this look is affordable, as I think it's important to have at least one staple piece in your look and the rest can be interchangeable.

Jeans - Ted Baker £89
Shirt - New Look £9.99
Shoes - Target £20
Clutch - River Island £18
Bangles - Diva £14

This black hi low maxi dress of mine is definitely a dress I love to wear when it's warm enough! I think it's such a statement with the floaty tail at the back, but the front is short enough to show your legs. It's such a classic and it goes with almost anything! I paired the dress with some pretty wedges and lots of jewellery in the form of rings and bangles. I think with simple outfits, accessorising is the key!

Dress - Ribbon £10
Shoes - Steve Madden £66
Bracelet 1 - Debenhams £15
Bracelet 2 - H&M £3.99
Ring 1 - Miss Selfridge £5
Ring 2 - Dorothy Perkins £7.50
Ring 3 - Dorothy Perkins £6.50

Cara Delevingne's Spring 2013 Campaign

Hi everyone!

My current favourite British model - Cara Delevingne - is the face of the SS13 campaign of Polish fashion label Reserved

Reserved is a brand created by outstanding individuals, fixed on the latest trends fashion lovers who express themselves with a personal sense of style.

This new campaign, Be Inspired, was shot by fashion photographer Mateusz Stankiewicz and styled by Karin Smeds in hot and sunny Miami. The collection features oversize sweaters, neutral knits, lace and monochrome pieces, boyfriend trousers, and pastel items combined with accents of neon colours, among others. I love these shots, and as always, Cara looks flawless! These are my favourite images from the campaign, but all photos can be seen on their website.

This girl is perfect
What do you think of this campaign and the collection that features in it?
