Store Spotlight • Just For 5 Pounds

Hi everyone!

Don't you just love clothing websites that sell their pieces for ridiculously cheap prices? I know I do! Today's Store Spotlight is all about Just for 5 Pounds - an online website where all women's clothing, footwear, bags and accessories are just £5.00 each! Apparently, this company is able to sell their products so cheap as they have been supplying £5.00 products to the industry for over 10 years, and have recently decided to start selling these pieces online. I think this is just great! Oh, and they also deliver internationally!

With a vast array of styles, you will surely find something you love! In fact, I have also put together a list of some of the pieces that I mostly liked from this website.

To see thousands of other £5.00 pieces and find your favourite, head over to the Just for 5 Pounds website here

Aquascapism • Miista’s SS14 Lookbook

Hi everyone!

Miista’s SS14 lookbook is finally online! Entitled Aquascapism, the new SS14 collection is inspired by something big, ancient and fresh – the sea. Inspiration is also taken from 90s fashion and childhood summers: escaping back to the freedom of those long vacations as well as that feeling of not having a single care in the world.

The shoes in this collection are adorned with nostalgic sticker detailing, 3D floral elements, and wildly inventive, exaggerated textures, which complement the classic constructions and reinforce the spontaneity and youthfulness of the collection. Bright and breezy seaside colours accent the styles while a base of pastels provides foundation. Soft pinks and oranges along with oceanic blues and greens are combined with bright metallics in a range of candy coloured ice cream tones. And it does not end there! Neon vinyl enters the mix, setting the stage for some serious statement shoes. Miista’s most adventurous collection is also shiny - wooden heels encased in lucite, metallics combined with clear plastics, and speckled leather surrounded by a vinyl shell.

Photographed by Philip Meech and modelled by Jessie and Lydia, check out the lookbook photos below. All the styles in the ‘Aquascapism’ range are available for purchase at Miista.com.

What are your thoughts on this collection? Which is your favourite style?
I love all of these shoes, but my most favourite are the Zoe Aqua Marina and Parma Violets
(surprise, surprise!) and the Jayda Black/Bronze. They're perfect in my eyes!

Bocca by Face-à-Face

Hi everyone!

After partnering with several of the most well regarded frame makers throughout Europe to provide the most luxurious of designs – including British designer Tom Davies, iconic Danish designer brands Lindberg and Ørgreen, as well as Nike - the world’s leading manufacturer of adaptive spectacle lenses Transitions has now teamed up with independent Parisian frames designer brand Face-à-Face for an edgy, unusual collaboration.

Together, Transitions and Face-à-Face have launched a new range of sunglasses styles called Bocca, inspired by the legendary Dali’s ‘Mae West’ sofa. To underline the sensual lips that became a frame front, Face-à-Face’s Art Director Pascal Jaulent sculpted the temples into very sexy legs, adorned with glamorous high heels. Other styles adorn the black varnish “Richelieu” shoe, paying tribute to the famous Yves Saint Laurent smoking suit.

What is interesting in the fact that Transitions Optical lenses change from light coloured lenses to dark coloured lenses according to sun's exposure. Check out the sunglasses which comprise the Bocca range below:

Bocca Rock 3 col. 2053
Bocca 3 col. 321 / Bocca 4 col. 1216
Bocca 2 col. 2049
 Bocca Rock 2 col. 080 / Bocca Rock 1 col. 005
Bocca 1 col. 2016
Bocca Smoking 1 col. 2002

Available in several reputable opticians across London and the UK (for the full stockist list, click here), the starting price point of these sunglasses is £279.00 (€333.45/$459.96).

Which pair from the Bocca range is your favourite?

Mailbox • Dollface London

Hi everyone!

Lately, silver stone rings and minimal necklaces have been my go-to jewellery pieces. Fortunately enough, my collection now also includes two gorgeous pieces from Dollface London - which came beautifully packaged in a black paper bag after each piece being individually wrapped in a red crepe paper adorned with a Dollface London logo sticker.

Ready to cater for all fashionistas, Dollface London is fresh, edgy, full of attitude and on-trend. From Gothic Glam and Urban Bling to Vintage Fairytale and Neon collections, Dollface London have a vast choice of jewellery and accessories that will suit all tastes and styles.

The first piece I picked up was a silver gemstone ring. Being sold for a mere £3.00 and available in Rose Quartz, Jade Green or Amethyst, I opted for the Rose Quartz stone. These last couple of days, I have been stacking rings like crazy, so this one was a perfect addition to my constantly-growing ring collection. And guess what? The size of this ring is adjustable so it fit my chubby fingers perfectly!

Keeping with the silver theme, I also picked out a thin collar necklace. I already own a chunky gold collar necklace, but I was after a dainty one after seeing one on Tumblr. Perfect for wearing it the normal way - so to say - or even under your shirts' collars, this necklace retails for £8.50 and is also available in gold.

What do you think of these pieces? Have you ever purchased anything from Dollface London?
Are you planning to? Let me know in the comments below.

Dollface London offer FREE worldwide delivery on all orders over £25.00/$40.00. To keep informed on all things Dollface London - be it new collections or sales - make sure you are following their social media accounts - Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Designer vs Deal #9

Hi everyone!

I'm super excited about the finds I managed to discover through my endless hours of browsing the Internet. Check out the very similar dupes of designs by very famous designers, namely Vlieger and Vandam, and Kenzo, and also of an uber-popular piece from high street retailer American Apparel.

And as I explain in each Designer vs Deal post, I am not telling you to trash designer brands and instead opt for their very cheap dupes. I am merely sharing with you what I found on the Internet, to let you know what is available. If you can't afford designer pieces, just like myself, there's obviously nothing wrong with purchasing the cheaper versions.

This time round, I am especially happy to find a dupe of the Vlieger and Vandam gun bag, as I would never spend €235 on a clutch bag - unless I win the lottery, that is. Thankfully, Choies have a very identical one which is being sold for a mere €39.

Ebay is filled with dupes of designer pieces, so it wasn't quite a surprise that I also found a similar dupe to Kenzo's Eye Embroidered sweater. When it comes to clothes, I sometimes prefer to spend my money on the real deal. I really like the Kenzo sweater, so I certainly know where my savings are going to sometime soon...

Another deal I found on Ebay was a sunflower print denim shorts, which is very much like the American Apparel version. I can't give you my thoughts on whether I would purchase the AA one or the Ebay dupe as it's not actually in my style. I however thought I should share this find with you as I know this pair of shorts was all around the blogosphere some time ago.

Which would you prefer to purchase, the designer version or its affordable dupe?
